Lord Jesus Christ is Risen and we His followers Will raise too.

God had raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by his own power - 1 Cor. 6.14..

Mathew 28.5-6

But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. HE is not here; for HE is risen, for 8 He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

On the third day after Jesus death the Bible says, " And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men" - Mathew 28.2-4.

As Mary looked into the tomb she saw, " And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain" - John 20.12.

Then one of the angels who was sitting outside the tomb proclaimed the greatest Message the world has heard "Jesus is nor here for HE is Risen"

Without the Resurrection there could be no salvation.

Resurrection meant

1.Jesus Christ is God. He was what HE claimed to be. God in Flesh

2.God had accepted the atoning sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross which was necessary for our salvation. 

Rom. 4.25 - Who was delivered for our offenses and raised again for our justification.

3.God's righteous judgement 

Rom. 5.19 - For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by obedience of one man many be made righteous.

4.Guarantees that our bodies will be raised at the end

Jesus Overcame death by rising from the dead

1 Cor. 15.20 - But is Christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of them that slept.

1 Corinthians 15:55-57- “Where, O death, is your VICTORY? Where, O death, is your sting?The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" 

The Bible teaches that as Christians our bodies may go to the grave, but they are going to be raised on the Great Resurrection Day. Then will death be swallowed up in victory. As a result of the Resurrection of Christ the sting of death is gone and Christ holds the keys. Halleluiah..

Rev. 1.18- "I am HE that lives and was dead, behold I am alive forevermore Amen and have the keys of hell and death "

And Christ promises, " Because I live, you shall live also" - John 14.19. Halleluiah.
