The Very Purpose of the Word of GOD

"For the Word of GOD is ALIVE and full of POWER (making it active, operative , energizing and effective) ; it is Sharper than any Two-Edged Sword penetrating to the dividing Soul, Spirit and of Joints and marrow , exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart." - Heb. 4:12.

The Word of GOD purpose is like a Double Edged Sword. 

One Side - Encourages , Comforts , Exhorts

Other Side - Warns , Corrects , Trains , Equips 

When we allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the two sides of God's Word. We can experience the Power in God's Word as the Holy Spirit transforms and bring spiritual growth in our lives. 

"Every Scripture is GOD-breathed (given by HIS inspiration) and profitable for TEACHING (Instruction), for REPROOF and conviction of sin, for CORRECTION of error and discipline in obedience for TRAINING in righteousness" - 2 Tim. 3:16. 

a) For Teaching - God always wanted to teach HIS children. That is why the Lord Jesus sent the Holy Spirit (Best teacher). We must have a willingness to learn from the Holy Spirit. 

b) For Reproof - Convict Our wrong ways/thoughts and sins

c) For Correction - Setting things straight. Bring back to Godly standards.

d) Training in Righteousness - Holy Spirit leads and trains us into Righteousness of Jesus Christ written in HIS Word. 

May the Lord Jesus Christ through HIS Spirit lead each one of us in understanding HIS Word and rightly dividing it, all for HIS GLORY....
