A Safe Place

Hosea 11:1

“Out of Egypt I called my son."

Today's Word

When King Herod heard about a baby born in Bethlehem who was the Messiah, he was so afraid he was going to lose political control that he decreed all the male Hebrew babies be killed there. An angel came to Joseph in a dream and told him to flee to Egypt with Mary and Jesus. In the middle of the night, they took off on the run to a foreign country. This may have seemed like another difficulty, another setback to their plans, but each step of their journey was strategically orchestrated. This step was to a place of protection, another place of blessing. After Herod died, they moved back to Nazareth as Hosea had prophesied seven hundred years previous: “I have called My Son out of Egypt.”

There are steps that God has already ordained for you. There will be twists and turns, unexpected moves, people who come against you, things that aren’t fair. Instead of fighting change, learn to embrace change. Recognize that none of that can stop God’s plan. He will use it to move you to your place of blessing.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You that no matter what challenge I face, I can stay in peace, knowing that You have a safe place for me. Thank You that You can turn every situation around and help me move forward to my place of blessing. I declare that nothing can stop Your plan. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.” 🙏
